Man, I see so many POC (esp. of Asian descent, woo!) on commercials nowadays, which is awesome! But then the actual TV show or movie starts back up and we’re not there. Or if we are, we certainly don’t get to be the focus of the story. Like, companies are more than happy to sell us POC stuff, more than happy to take our money, but when we want to tell our stories? Not a chance.
